# ✏️ Edit user permissions

Purpose of this procedure:
To modify the privileges of an existing system user—whether to upgrade or reduce their privileges, or to adjust their duties in accordance with business requirements.

Modification steps:

❶ Main Interface
From the program's main menu, go to "User Management."

❷ Permissions
After opening the administration window, select the tab or option labeled "Permissions."

❸ Edit
Find the desired user, then click the "Edit" button next to their name.

❹ Modifying Permissions
Change permissions as desired (add, remove, or completely change the permission level).

❺ Save
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap the "Save" button.

❻ Confirmation
A message reading "Updated successfully" will appear, and the new permissions will take effect immediately.

⚠️ Important Notices:

🔴 **Admin Privileges:** Granting Admin status gives the user full control over the system. Use this with extreme caution. 🟡 **Immediate Effect:** Any changes to privileges take effect immediately, even if the user is currently logged in. 🔵 **Review Before Saving:** Verify all changes before clicking "Save," as some programs do not have an "Undo" button. 🟢 **Documenting Changes:** It is advisable to keep a log of the changes you make for review and auditing purposes.

💡 Practical example:

If you want to change an employee's role from "Cashier" to "Accountant," follow the steps above, select the new role from the drop-down menu, and then save.
