# How to add a new product

**Objective:** To easily add a new product to the inventory and sales system.

### Steps to add a new product:

**Step 1:** Access the Products List
From the main interface, click the **"Products"** icon to access the list of all registered products.

**Step 2:** Start adding a new product
On the Products page, click the **"Add Product"** button to open the data entry form.

**Step 3:**Entering Basic Information
Fill in the required fields, including:

- **Product Name:** Enter the product's identifying name.
- **Unit:** Select the appropriate unit of measurement (e.g., piece, kilogram, box, etc.).
- **Selling Price**: Set the product's selling price for the customer.
- **Tax settings:** Select the tax rate applicable to the product (if any).
- **Additional rates:** You can add special rates or discounts as needed.

**Step 4:** Saving the Product
After entering all the data, you have two options:

- **Save:** To save the current product and complete the process.
- **Save and Add Another:** To save the current product and proceed directly to adding another new product (to save time when adding multiple products).

**Step 5:**Confirming the operation's success
A confirmation message will appear stating **"Product added successfully,"** indicating that the product has been saved in the system.

### ✅ Additional tips:

- **Accurate Pricing:** Ensure the correct selling price and purchase price (if applicable) are set to avoid accounting errors.
- **Tax:** Check the tax settings in the system before adding products to ensure the correct rate is applied.
- **Unit:** Select the appropriate unit for the product (piece, kilogram, liter, etc.), as this will affect subsequent buying and selling operations.
- **Review:** It is advisable to review all entered data before clicking the save button to avoid errors.
- **Repeated Addition:** Use the **"Save and Add Another"** option if you are adding a long list of products; this will save you time.
