# Installing the Bill program as a desktop application

**Purpose of this procedure:**To convert the Bill program from a simple browser-based site into a **standalone** desktop application, thereby facilitating access and providing a user experience similar to that of desktop applications.

## Installation steps:

**❶ Accessing the program**

- Open the **Google Chrome browser**.
- Go to the Bill program website and log in with your account as usual.

**❷ Open the Settings menu**

- Click the three-dot icon (⋮) **located at the top right** of the browser.

**❸ Find the installation option**

- Scroll down the drop-down menu.
- Look for the "**Cast, Save, and Share**" option, or a similar name depending on the browser version.

**❹ Select "Pin page as app"**

- From the submenu, click "**Install Page as App...**" or "Create Shortcut".

**❺ Confirm Installation**

- A small window will appear; click the "**Install**" button.

**❻ Result**

- Once finished, you will find the program icon on the **desktop** or in the Start Menu.
- You can now open the program directly from the desktop without needing to open the browser first.

**Result:**✅ The Bill program has been installed as a desktop application and is now easily accessible with a single click.

## ⚠️ Important Notices:

- **Make sure to use the Chrome browser:** This feature is primarily available in Google Chrome. Other browsers may not support it in the same way.
- **Pre-login:** You must be logged into the program before performing the steps so that the browser saves the login session.
- **Default app name: **The app will automatically take the site name, but you can change the name during the installation process if there is an option.
- **Desktop shortcut:**Ensure the icon appears on the desktop. If it does not appear, look for it in the Start menu and drag it to the desktop manually.

**📌 Standalone App Feature**

- When launching the program from the desktop, a window opens **without browser bars** (address bar, buttons, etc.), providing a cleaner experience that resembles a desktop application.

**📌 Automatic updates**

- Don't worry about updates; the app uses the same version as the browser, and all updates happen automatically via Chrome.

**📌 Remove the application**

- If you want to delete the app later, simply delete the shortcut from your desktop or go to Chrome Settings → Apps → right-click → Remove.
